HC Deb 02 November 1987 vol 121 cc500-1W
Mr. Cohen

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what representation he has received on the use by Iran of United Kingdom-made explosives; whether explosives exported to Sweden are subject to end-user certification; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Atkins

I have received no representations on the use by Iran of explosives manufactured in the United Kingdom.

Export licence applications for explosives for all destinations, including Sweden, are considered on their merits and, depending upon the type of explosive, its end use and destination would normally require an end-user certificate or an international import certificate.
