hon. Member's representations on 26 October. He expressed great sadness at the tragedy but commended Mr. and Mrs. Braisdell for their responsible and compassionate attitude. He explained that the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA), to which the tour operator concerned belongs, was conducting a thorough investigation into the case. ABTA has told the Department that it has received assurances from the tour operator that, on the basis of a full report on the incident, it is fully satisfied that its representative acted correctly. ABTA has written accordingly to Mrs. Braisdell.
