§ Mr. Fauldsasked the Secretary of State for Wales what information he has as to (a) the receipts raised by the national museum of Wales from the recent exhibition of masterpieces of that museum in Japan, (b) the net sum made available from that amount for museum purposes after deducting expenses and internal costs, (c) the museum purposes to which that net sum was devoted and (d) the sum made available therefrom for equipment for the museum's conservation studios.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsReceipts were £200,000 gross and £190,000 net after taking account of direct expenses only. In accordance with current practice for the national museums and galleries, receipts are applied to meet general expenditure and are not earmarked for specific projects.
