§ Mr. Jesselasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will set out in the Official Report figures to show, in respect of the financial years 1986–87 and 1987–88, what average sum of money was or is being provided and spent for each child at comprehensive schools in the London borough of Richmond-upon-Thames for the general certificate of secondary education exam from (a) his Department and (b) the local education authority, specifying what part of each sum is mandatory, specific, or general increase in Government grant intended by him to be applied to the general certificate of secondary education.
