§ Lord Lucas of ChilworthThe Department of Trade and Industry and the Science and Engineering Research Council are considering the establishment of a programme of collaborative research in molecular electronics. An announcement may be made in due course.
If such a programme proceeds, then any intellectual property arising will be owned by the industrial companies carrying out the work. The exploitation of this intellectual property will therefore not normally be a matter for Government.
