§ Mr. NewtonAs the hon. Member is aware, we have asked Sir Roy Griffiths to review the way in which public funds are used to support community care policy and to advise on options for improving the use of these funds as a contribution to more effective community care. In view of the importance of social services departments' work in this field, we have now decided that it would be appropriate to consider the publication of such a Green Paper in the light of the outcome of his work.
