§ Mr. Peter BrookeBy using the normal transit procedures available for imports or exports, Channel tunnel freight traffic will be able to obtain Customs clearance at any approved inland clearance depot. Such depots are provided by commercial operators subject to approval by Customs who take into consideration the expected volume of business, the availability of other clearance facilities in the vicinity and the effective and economical use of Customs staff. There is an approved inland clearance depot in the Glasgow area.
