§ Dr. David Clarkasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government towards the target for reducing emissions from power stations of sulphur dioxide by 1993 and 1998, respectively; on what year's level those targets are based; what is the Government's policy on reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions from power stations; and if he will make a statement;
(2)if he will outline the technological measures applied between 1970 and 1980 and between 1981 and 1987 at. fossil fuel power stations operated by the Central Electricity Generating Board aimed specifically at reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides;
(3)if he will outline the technological measures applied between 1970 and 1980 and between 1981 and 1987 at fossil fuel power stations operated by the Central Electricity Generating Board aimed specifically at reducing emissions of sulphur dioxide.
