§ Mr. Frank Fieldasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) how many of the 7,300 black Africans reported in his Department's recent summary of company responses under the EEC code of conduct for companies 320W with interests in South Africa as being paid below the SLL5 in the period ended 30 June 1985 were at the time employed by companies which by 30 June 1986 had stopped reporting to his Department or parts of companies which had or been sold by the company reporting;
(2) how many of the 7,300 black Africans reported in his Department's recent summary of company responses under the EEC code of conduct for companies with interests in South Africa as being paid below the SLL5 in the period ended 30 June 1985 were employed by companies which had reduced their black African workforces by June 1986 to fewer than the number of employees they reported below SLL5 the previous year; and what numerical effect such work force reductions have had on the total number of black Africans his Department considers to be being paid below SLL5.
