Mr. O'Neill

asked the Secretary of State for Defence which Royal Air Force aircraft types are currently employed in the tanker role.

Mr Stanley

The RAF currently employs Victor K2, VC1010 K2 and K3, Tristar K1 and Hercules CIK aircraft in the tanker role.

Mr. Denzil Davies

asked the Secretary of State for Defence which Royal Air Force aircraft types are currently provided with hardened shelters.

Mr. Stanley

Hardened shelters are currently provided for Tornado (ADV and GR1), Phantom, and Buccaneer aircraft and for Jaguar and Harrier GR3 aircraft based in RAF Germany. United Kingdom-based Jaguars and Harriers have a number of forward and dispersed operating options.
