HC Deb 05 May 1987 vol 115 c394W
Mr. Michael Forsyth

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, pursuant to the answer of 28 April, Official Report, column 73, relating to consultation procedures carried out by the Forth Valley health board, how many neighbours were consulted by Forth Valley health board; why the chairman refused to meet residents when requested to do so by the hon. Member for Stirling; why the board refused to attend public meetings and a community council meeting; if he is satisfied with the procedures followed by Forth Valley health board in this matter; and if he will now issue guidelines on consultation.

Mr. John Mackay

My right hon. and learned Friend understands that Forth Valley health board took certain steps regarding consultation with local residents on its proposal for II Randolph road, Stirling. On the question of guidelines, I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave to my hon. Friend on 11 March 1987 at column243. The matters on which my hon. Friend seeks detailed information are entirely for the health board and are best pursued direct.
