§ Mr. Steenasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what new legislative provisions he anticipates will be required to supplement the existing town and country planning legislation in order fully to implement the European Directive on environmental assessment.
§ Mr. AncramDetails of proposed statutory provisions for implementing the directive were set out in an appendix to the consultative paper on implementation of the directive which was issued by the Scottish Development Department in April 1986. Copies of that paper are available in the Library. Responses are being considered.
