HC Deb 05 May 1987 vol 115 cc328-9W
Mr. Allan Williams

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will investigate the circumstances in which the oil tankers Paula Maersk and Ambio Fingo left Milford Haven laden with aviation fuel and ended up at Iran's Hormuz terminal; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Lawson

[pursuant to his reply, 30 April 1987, c. 232]: Since aviation fuel destined for Iran is not subject to export licensing requirements, there would appear to be no reason for investigating the circumstances in this case.
