HC Deb 31 March 1987 vol 113 cc502-3W
Mr. John David Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what existing regulatory restrictions there are in relation to the parking of heavy goods vehicles in residential areas; and if he has proposals further to restrict such parking.

Mr. Needham

There are no existing regulatory restrictions that deal with the parking of heavy goods vehicles in residential areas specifically.

The parking of such vehicles overnight on public roads and on verges, between carriageways and on footways is, however, governed by general legislation.

There are no proposals at present to extend these provisions.
