§ Mr. Austin Mitchellasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will give up-to-date figures and add a forecast for 1987–88 in the form of the answer dated 25 July 1986 concerning expenditure from the redundancy fund and revenue from North sea oil.
§ Mr. MacGregorA forecast: of total benefits paid to the unemployed, of redundancy payments from the redundancy fund and of Government revenue from North sea oil in 1987–88 is given below. Revised estimates for 1981–82 to 1986–87 are also given. Estimates for 1973–74 to 1980–81, given in the answer of 25 July 1986, remain unchanged.
34.25 per cent. failed to respond to the questionnaire. I would also refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my right hon. Friend, the Prime Minister, on 24 March 1987.
