§ Mr. HowardThe Government are currently considering, in the light of consultation with consumer and industry associations, the scope for introducing measures to replace the origin marking requirements of the Trade Descriptions Act 1972. Repeal of the 1972 Act is necessary for reasons of Community law and provision for this is made in the Consumer Protection Bill.
