§ Mr. GummerThe total number of quota transfers registered by the Milk Marketing Board in England and Wales since the milk quota system was established in 1984 is 5,618. It is not possible to say how many producers disposed of their entire quota in these transactions. Additionally, under the Milk Supplementary Levy (Outgoers) Scheme 1984 a total of 1,686 producers from England and Wales gave up their entire quota. Successful applicants under the Community outgoers scheme will not surrender their quota until 1 April 1987.
