§ Sir Geoffrey Johnson Smithasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will give details of the level of investment by Her Majesty's Government on the road infrastructure in East Sussex.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThere has been increasing investment in roads in East Sussex since 1979. Actual and planned expenditure on trunk roads amounts to more than £100 million at 1983 prices. In addition, transport supplementary grants amounting to £4½ million have been awarded to the county council in the past four years, with nearly another £1 million available for the next financial year.
