§ Mr. Gordon Brownasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the future of the MV St. Giles at Rosyth naval base.
§ Mr. ChopeDredging services at Rosyth naval base are undertaken partially by contract and partially by the PSA's own vessel, the St. Giles. The National Audit Office recommended that there was no special need to retain an in-house dredger at Rosyth and that all dredging should be undertaken by contract. The recommendation is at present under consideration by the Department.
