How many inter-tidal sites of special scientific interest have been renotified under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and how many remain to be renotified.
§ Lord SkelmersdaleI am advised by the Nature Conservancy Council that on 31st January 1987, 123 inter-tidal sites notified under the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 had been renotified under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and 73 remain to be renotified. A further 20 had been notified for the first time under the 1981 Act.
