§ Mr. Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many British citizens have been refused visitors visas to the Soviet Union during each of the last 24 months for which records are available; how many of those refused were hon. Members or Members of the House of Lords, respectively; how many were spouses of such Members; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. RentonWe do not have records of the number of visas refused to British citizens. As far as hon. Members and their spouses are concerned, the only cases of which I am aware in the past two years are those I referred to in my reply to the hon. Member for Edmonton (Dr. Twinn), on 18 March.
