§ Mr. Alan ClarkWe continue to press the Japanese Government fully to open their markets to imported goods and services. The Community has taken one issue, restrictions on imports of alcoholic drinks, to the GATT, and detailed discussions are in train on other sectors, including cars and medical equipment. In respect of financial services, I have made clear my readiness to use the reciprocity provisions in the Financial Services Act.
