§ Mrs. RumboldThe provision of road safety education in schools is a matter for local education authorities and the schools themselves. The Department issued guidance on the subject in 1979 in a booklet "Safety at School: General Advice". My right hon. Friend will give careful consideration to possible further action in the light of the work of the interdepartmental group on road safety.
