Following the introduction of visa regimes for nationals of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ghana and Nigeria, the cost of issuing entry clearances worldwide is estimated to be £35 million in a full financial year. Two thirds of this is expected to be recovered through visa-fee income.
