§ Mr. Austin Mitchellasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing for table 14.3 of the "Annual Abstract of Statistics, 1987" the amount provided each year for (a) depreciation, (b) the gross trading profits of oil companies and (c) the component parts of United Kingdom taxes on income.
§ Mr. MacGregor[pursuant to his reply, 13 March 1987, c. 319]: Estimates of depreciation relevant to income arising in the United Kingdom are given in table 11.5 of "United Kingdom National Accounts 1986." This publication, which is available in the House of Commons Library, also contains the readily available analyses of United Kingdom taxes on income (tables 5.1 and 6.2). Figures for the gross trading profits of oil companies are not available.
