§ Mr. Alexanderasked the Secretary of State for Transport (1) when the work on the Newark A46 relief road will commence;
(2) when the contracts for the construction of the Newark A46 relief road will go out to tender.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleySubject to the completion of statutory procedures, it is planned to invite tenders for A46 Newark relief road this May. I hope work will be able to start towards the end of the year. The construction period will be two and a half years.
