§ 32. Sir Peter Blakerasked the Attorney-General if he has any plans to increase the speed with which the Land Registry is able to deal with applications for registration of land.
The Solicitor-GeneralA number of steps have been taken by the Lord Chancellor to shorten the time taken up in dealing with applications for registration. These include overtime, recruitment, opening new offices and improvements in practice and procedure. Additionally, during 1987 computerisation and further improvement in productivity are expected to lead to a reduction in stocks of 100,000 applications. This will result in improved levels of service.
