§ Mr. AncramUnder section 48 of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, it is an offence for any person in charge of a dog, other than a blind person in charge of a guide dog, to allow it to deposit its excrement in specified public places. The effectiveness of that provision is currently under review.
