Current NATO military activities such as defence planning, armaments co-operation and exercises are a matter for NATO nations only. Non-NATO states are associated with some work in other areas. Examples include studies under the auspices of the Committee for the Challenges of Modern Society: I refer the noble Lord toNATO Facts and Figures—acopy of which is in the Library.
