§ Mr. Foulkesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) what action will be taken by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise to investigate reports that the Guernsey-registered vessel Silver Sea was loaded with extra cargo after customs clearance before its departure on 15 February 1986 from Southampton;
(2) what action his Department will take to investigate reports that the Guernsey-registered vessel Silver Sea was loaded with certain items not listed on the ship's manifest when it left Southampton on 15 February 1986.
§ Mr. Beithasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was declared to Her Majesty's Customs and Excise officials in the ship's manifest by the owners of the vessel Silver Sea in respect of recent voyages to Central America; and if he will make a statement.
