HL Deb 11 March 1987 vol 485 c1127WA
Lord Diamond

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What were the figures for June and December 1986 of unemployment adjusted for discontinuities on the same basis as the figures supplied on Wednesday, 12th March 1986, by the Lord Young of Graffham.

The Secretary of State for Employment (Lord Young of Graffham)

Since I gave my reply on 12th March 1986, the seasonally adjusted unemployment series, which is adjusted for discontinuities to be consistent with the current monthly count, has been further revised to allow for the removal of over-recording from February 1986.
