§ Mr. Bill Walkerasked the Solicitor-General for Scotland what advice the Crown Office has given to procurators fiscal in connection with cases of fraud involving company directors.
§ The Solicitor-General for ScotlandProcurators fiscal have been advised of the power available to courts under the Companies Acts to make disqualification orders on company directors and others on conviction of an indictable offence which would include a conviction for fraud. This power is now contained in the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986, which came into force on 29 December 1986. No other specific advice has been given in connection with cases of fraud involving company directors.
