§ Mr. NewtonAIDS cases and deaths are reported in confidence by doctors to the voluntary monitoring system operated by the communicable disease surveillance centre. The operation of the system is currently being computerised and it is hoped that an age and sex distribution of AIDS cases and deaths will be available very shortly. I will then let the hon. Member have a further reply.
