asked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will make a statement about improving the quality of training within the Civil Service.

§ Mr. Luce
Yes. The Government are committed to high quality training and development as a principal means of improving the operational performance of the Civil Service, and enabling it to adapt to new demands. In particular, we have introduced new programmes for the training of senior staff.
