§ Lord James Douglas-Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if. pursuant to his answer of 4 March, Official Report, column 624, concerning raptors, he will publish in the Official Report information available to him on injuries to humans inflicted by raptors; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mrs. CurrieI regret that information on the number of injuries to humans by raptors is not available centrally. The statistics derived from hospital activity analysis and similar systems do not permit a separate identification of these injuries to be made centrally. There have been no deaths registered in the United Kingdom with an underlying cause of death as accident caused by raptor in the last five years for which complete data are available.
