HC Deb 09 March 1987 vol 112 c88W
Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will state the number of attacks on livestock by animals, for each of the years 1979 to 1985, for (1) Scotland, (2) England, (3) Northern Ireland and (4) Wales; and if he will publish a table indicating what variety of species of animal executed the attacks in each case, publishing figures for each year.

Mr. Donald Thompson

Records of the number of attacks by dogs on livestock in England, Wales and Scotland were discontinued in 1978, and have never been collected in Northern Ireland.
