HC Deb 09 March 1987 vol 112 c17W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Solicitor-General for Scotland if the procurator fiscal has informed the Lord Advocate of the interviews conducted by police officers on 27 February with Mr. Pat Chalmers and Colonel Alan Protheroe of the BBC at Glasgow police station; and if he will make a statement.

The Solicitor-General for Scotland

It would not be proper practice for me to disclose during the course of a criminal investigation which persons have been seen by the police and for what purpose. As my noble and learned Friend, the Lord Advocate, explained in another place on 4 March. the police investigations continue and at the conclusion thereof the police will make a report to the procurator fiscal.
