§ Mr. D. E. Thomasasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will specify the public expenditure under various categories in Wales that is incurred by Departments other than his own in the sphere of (a) agriculture, fisheries food and forestry, (b) trade, industry and employment, (c) arts and libraries, (d) roads and transport, (e) housing, (f) environmental services other than those specified above, (g) law, order and protective services, (h) education and science, (i) health and personal social services, (j) social security, (k) other public services not specified above and (l) common services as set out in the Treasury territorial analysis exercise, specifying the amount spent in the 1985–86 financial year and the responsibilities in relation to which this expenditure is incurred in each category.
§ Mr. MacGregorI refer the hon. Member to table 6 of the answer that I gave my hon. Friend the Member For Darlington (Mr. Fallon) on 16 December 1986 (columns488–98). The table shows identifiable expenditure for Wales by function under the headings of Welsh Office (labelled "Programme 16" in table 6) and other departments (labelled "Wales Other" in table 6).
