§ Mr. David MitchellI have today given approval to British Rail for the electrification of the line from Royston to Shepreth Junction at a cost of £2.5 million. This will allow passengers to travel directly from Kings Cross to Cambridge, which will be a significant improvement for commuters on this line. It brings the total BR investment that we have approved since October 1983 to £940 million.
