§ Sir Geoffrey Finsbergasked the Lord Privy Seal what arrangements he will be making to enable hon. Members to participate, if they wish, in the charities payroll giving scheme under the Finance Act 1986 provisions.
§ Mr. BiffenOn 17 February 1987 the Services Committee resolved
that the Fees Office should make arrangements to enable Members and Members' staff, who are paid through the Fees Office, to participate in a payroll giving scheme for charities, as provided for in sections 27 and 28 of the Finance Act 1986.I understand that Mr. Speaker has endorsed this resolution and that the Fees Office is proceeding with the necessary detailed arrangements to implement the scheme. All Members will be notified once the formalities are complete.
