§ Mr. Pikeasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will now publish the regional development plans for the north-west of England.
§ Mr. Tracey[pursuant to his reply, 26 February 1987]: My right hon. Friend is consulting local authorities in the Merseyside and Greater Manchester areas about the preparation of strategic guidance for the unitary development plans which they will be preparing under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1985. Proposals for a wider coverage of regional planning guidance were included in the consultation paper, "The future of development plans", published by the Department last September, on which comments are invited by 14 March.
