Sir William Clark

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the total of public expenditure on the agricultural, manufacturing and merchant shipping industries, respectively, in 1984–85; what proportion these expenditures bore to these industries' respective contributions to the gross domestic product; and if he will make a statement.
