§ Mrs. CurrieThe accident and emergency department at Manchester Royal infirmary has not closed. For a 48-hour period from 4.30 pm on Tuesday 24 February those patients attending the department who required emergency in-patient treatment were allocated beds in other hospitals serving Manchester in line with standing arrangements.
