§ Mr. Douglas HoggI understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that 111 police officers were assigned to duties in connection with the Prime Minister's visit to the Wembley conference centre. The additional cost to the Metropolitan Police was about24W £2,000. As is always the case with such operations, no charge was made to the organisers of the event. No arrests were made arising directly from the event.
