Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing for each year since 1962 the export-import ratio of United Kingdom trade in manufactures with the European Economic Community countries and with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development countries other than the European Economic Community.

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what was the percentage increase in the volume and value of United Kingdom exports of semi-manufactures and finished manufactures, less erratics, between 1973 and 1979 and between 1979 and 1986; how much of the increase was due in each case to the increase in exports to the United States of America; and what in each period was the increase in the real exchange rate, measured in terms of relative export prices, against the dollar and against all currencies.
