HC Deb 24 July 1987 vol 120 cc519-20W
Mr. Flynn

asked the Secretary of State for Energy on how many occasions, in what numbers, and for what length of time Euratom safeguards inspectors have been present at British Nuclear Fuels plc Sellafield nuclear site since March 1986; and whether Euratom inspectors have access to the B205 reprocessing plant at the Windscale works, Sellafield.

Mr. Michael Spicer

As stated in replies to questions from my hon. Friend the Member for Penrith and The Border (Mr. Maclean) on 4 June 1986, at columns 594–95, and from my hon. Friend the Member for Langbaurgh (Mr. Holt) on 30 January 1987, at column 404, Euratom inspectors have access to all civil material at Sellafield on a continuing basis. On average, three Euratom inspectors attend inspections.
