asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, what was the total expenditure by way of grant-aid under the agriculture improvement scheme on land restoration in the Province, in the financial years 1985–86 and 1986–87; and whether such grants are paid in respect of heathland and moorland.

The information on qualified teachers is not available in the form requested but there are 504 full-time teachers serving in special schools and 803 teachers in receipt of a special class allowance in primary and secondary schools.
