Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Attorney-General if he will bring up to the latest convenient date the information about the average completion times in working days taken by each of the district land registries to act on applications relating to title which he gave in an answer on 9 April, Official Report, columns 355 and 356.

The table shows for each district land registry the average completion times in working days at the end of June 1987 for each category of substantive application.

Mr. Ken Hargreaves

asked the Attorney-General how many cases are under consideration by the Director of Public Prosecutions and Crown Prosecution Service relating to alleged unlawful sexual intercourse with a defective; and if he will make a statement.

The Attorney-General

Three cases relating to alleged unlawful sexual intercourse with a mental defective are under consideration by the Crown Prosecution Service. Five cases are at present before the courts.
