Mr. Corbyn

asked the Attorney-General if he will provide a table of the number of appeals to immigration adjudicators allowed, dismissed or withdrawn in 1986 and in the first quarter of 1987, broken down by category of appeal and nationality of applicant.

The Attorney-General

For 1986 and the first quarter of 1987, statistics for the number of appeals to the immigration adjudicators which were referred, allowed, dismissed or withdrawn are as shown in the table, with a breakdown by category of appeal, and information regarding the origin of the applicant. Information regarding the precise nationality of individual applicants is not available.
