§ Mrs. CurrieThe table shows the average daily number of available beds in National Health Service mental illness hospitals and units in England, by regional health authority, for the years 1982 to 1985. Figures for local authority care are not readily available; the only relevant information relates to places in residential homes for mental illness supported by local authorities in the above 707W years and is published in "Homes and Hostels for the Mentally Ill and the Mentally Handicapped, at 31 March. England", copies of which are in the Library.
